Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated on the occasion of Lord Ganesha’s birthday. Lord Ganesha means the owner of all 10 directions. This festival is grandly celebrated in Maharashtra, Goa, and also celebrated in different parts of India. Lord Ganesha is everyone’s lovable he likes to eat modak and loves to ride on mushak. Lord Ganesha is the son of God Shiv and goddess Parvati.
Ganesh Chaturthi lies between August and September and it lasts for 11 days. During, Ganesh Chaturthi the whole market are decorated. everyone brings a statue of lord Ganesha and installs it in their working place. In, many places in India huge pandals are established and with the distribution of everyone in the locality a huge statue of lord Ganesha is placed in the pandal. These cultural activities connect us and make our relation more strong.
People worship lord Ganesha with all the rituals and offer modak to him as per their admiration. Everyone wishes for peace, prosperity and happiness. Lord Ganesha resolves all the problems or troubles. That’s why he is known as Vighnaharta. He is a statue that represents peace, so we call him Munglemurti. Lord Ganesha has many names in different parts of India but the spirituality for him inside every Indian is the same.
Now the time of Ganapati visarjan comes closer, many people celebrate Ganapati visarjan as Vinayak Chaturthi on the 5th day of Ganesh Chaturthi. But in most places, after 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi on the 11th day or annant, chaturdasi Ganapati visarjan is renowned; and the time arrives when God Ganesha is immersed with fanfare. Eventually, Ganesh Chaturthi ends with the hope of seeing Ganesha again.
